Fix a rejected 10DLC campaign
A rejection is common and usually fixable. Here is why campaigns get rejected and how a clean resubmission works.
Why campaigns get rejected
Twilio documents rejection reasons that include an unclear campaign description, sample messages that are missing or do not match the use case, an opt in process that is not described or not public, and shortened links from free services.
Fixable reasons
Most of these are wording and visibility problems. A clearer description, sample messages that match what you will really send, and a public sign up page usually resolve them.
Reasons that need a different campaign
Some rejections relate to content that carriers do not allow. Those need a different campaign, not a resubmission.
Resubmit, do not start over
Twilio notes that a vetting fee is charged once per campaign and that there is no limit on resubmissions, so editing and resubmitting a failed campaign is usually better than deleting it.
How we help
We read the rejection code, rewrite the description, sample messages and opt in wording, make sure your sign up page and privacy policy are public, and resubmit under our approved ISV profile. You see the new status on your status page. We cannot promise approval on resubmission. Texting for customers inside RetentionTek is rolling out. Registration is the first step, so you are ready when it reaches your account.
Frequently asked questions
Why was my 10DLC campaign rejected?
Common reasons include an unclear description, sample messages that do not match the use case, an opt in process that is missing or not public, and shortened links from free services.
Should I delete and recreate a rejected campaign?
Usually no. Twilio notes that the vetting fee is charged once per campaign and resubmissions are not limited, so editing and resubmitting is often the better path.
Can you fix my rejected campaign?
We can review the rejection, rewrite your submission and resubmit it under our approved ISV profile. Carriers make the final decision, so we cannot guarantee approval.
